ValueClick (VCLK) this afternoon reduced its revenue and profit guidance for 2008.

For Q3, the online advertising company posted revenue of $152.9 million, ahead of the Street at $151.9 million, and consistent with previous guidance of $150 million to $156 million. The company posted profits before one-time items of 15 cents a share, in line with the Street and consistent with guidance of 14-15 cents a share.

However, the company also cut its full-year guidance. The company now sees revenue of $633 million to $638 million, with EPS of 55-56 cents a share, down from $655 million to $675 millio

ValueClick (VCLK) shares are trading lower this morning after Bank of America’s Brian Pitz and Brian Fitzgerald cut their rating on the stock to Neutral from Buy, slashing their target price to $11 from $24. The analysts write in a research note that the move is “based on our expectations for continued weakness in display advertising.”

The analysts say the stock is undervalued, and downside is limited, but that they are “doubtful a positive catalyst will lift the stock near term.”
