General Mills (NYSE: GIS) (Cramer's Take) hits another 52-week high. This company has been one of the great standout performers this year, just a juggernaut, even though it is a gigantic buyer of grains and a huge user of cardboard boxes and plastic wrapping. Plus, it needs gasoline t...

UL has been actively managing their businesses and selling off less profitable parts. It is a creative company with a lot of products you use everyday, but may not know they are made by Unilever. UL has been able to pass on price increases to the consumer. Consumer staples are a decent place to go for safety in a rough market, and they pay a nice dividend. When the inflation bubble deflates, UL will be ready for takeoff.

There's always been a groupthink in Europe about currencies. The companies that want to buy American companies have, at times, seemed to care more about the currency, or at least not buying a company in a country whose currency is in decline, than they care about the actual target.
That's what it looks like now that a lar...

Unilever has been a consistently strong performer over the past few decades, paying out good yields. It's current yield, 3%, is comparitively high (many tech stocks don't pay any yield and still get huge praise). During a recession, it may be that Unilever will be one of the few companies which still has the ability to pay dividends.
