Here's what I see as a novice. I believe there is great potential for growth for Tata Motors Ltd. (TTM) stock. The right social elements are in place in India right now --positive economic growth with a great focus on infastructure development. Another plus -- Tata is already an established brand there. I like the Nano car -- great idea. Should sell well in India's positive economic environment as well as other struggling economic environments. With rising gas prices,I believe the timing is perfect for this product. Not so sure about the Jacquar/Range Rover acquisition, however.
Cheap Cars have been the life blood of world economics since oil consumption has been considered the life blood of the economy.
When ever you have a company with a cheap stock, a cheap product, and a high value brand you have a formula for explosive returns. This is the same formula that made the Posh iPod explode the mp3 market. With the Jaguar brand recently purchased this company will be able to play the full gamut of strategic brands and energy efficiency. Most companies won't be able to do that.
If you think I am the only one raving about this stock, then you are quite probably wrong. I would like to share an article with you from Rediff.com, where we have a very interesting take and insight into the possible sales of the Nano. The article states that the company, Tata Motors, is getting a large number of queries from second car buyers, whereas the car, Nano, is actually aimed at first car buyers. This is why it was kept pretty cheap in the first place and is a bare bones, stripped down version.
According to the article, there are about nine hundred buyers every month and ...

Earlier this morning, with the market appearing to move moderately higher (before a dip and then another rally!), I looked to find that 5th position to complete my 5 position minimum in my portfolio. Applying my reduced size strategy, the average size of the other 4 positions was $3000, s

That "nickel" was burning a hole in my pocket! I always talk about having a nickel in my pocket when I have sold a portion of one of my holdings at a gain. Indeed yesterday my recently purchased holding, WMS Industries hit a first appreciation target and I sold 1/7th of my small holding. These sales ar

Earlier today I sold my shares of Graham (GHM) on a plunge in the stock price below my purchase price on what appeared to be a reasonably good earnings report. I suppose with the rise in the price of oil and this earnings report, the stock reacted to the news. It doesn't matter to me. My

Yesterday I wrote about my sale of Greif (GEF) on an 8% loss. As I reminded my readers, my portfolio management strategy demands that I unload shares that hit pre-specified losses. After an initial purchase, stocks that dip 8% are sold. This limits my losses and enables me to preserve my
