There are five reasons why I think Raser (RZ) is a buy right now.

I have been following Raser Technologies (RZ) for several years now, and as a money manager, I don't see too many opportunities from the long side which are as compelling as this one - particularly in this recessionary environment. Given the disclosures available in the company's public filings, I think this ~$9 stock will be worth at least $25 by year-end, and with a short interest of 35 days of volume, this is a tinder box awaiting a match.

Why does a skeptic like me like a stock like this?

This company has two products, both are great, one I praise. Geothermal energy has no input costs after the investment of the plant and regular O&M. This company is gobbling up geothermal land leases and putting up their own plants and subsequent lease to other energy providers.
This is my baby and I'm watching her well. Technicals are beautiful and right where they should be. Look for serious gains begining 4Q 2007 and 1Q 2008 as the first of their plants become operational. This stickis a great buy under $14.
