Gassing Up: Chesapeake (CHK), AMR (AMR)

The Dow finished lower on worries about the economy, but Najarian pointed out volatility is also lower, thanks to the drop in oil prices. However, oil initially rose to a record high of $139 before it fell on the news that Saudi Arabia will beef up production. Joe Terranova said everything points to Friday, when the contracts come off the front of the board. However, he would buy natural gas. Najarian is bullish on CHK and AMR.

Rambus is a potential high risk extremely high rewards stock. It was in the 40s earlier this year but after the recent market correction as well as a delisting notice from the Nasdaq and an unfavorable ruling from the FTC is around 11. The company has several pending lawsuits and a favorable outcome could potentially literally double the stock overnight. The best way to play this would be to buy a call option in early 2007 to limit the initial investment.
