A great way to get in the Chinese economic growth boom with broad exposure, reduced risk, and not having to pick individual stock. Can't go wrong with China or, in this instance, US companies whose income is derived mainly by trading with Chinese companies.  PGJ has only recently gotten noticed and is picking up steam.  Watch PGJ hit $60 by spring, 2008.

First is this article about the extent to which the Chinese banks need to recapitalize and which banks have done what toward that end. The China theme has a lot of meat on the bone but it is complicated and as I have been saying all along (with no claim to originality) there will be bumps along the way.

Theme Of The Week
In the last few days I've written several posts/articles about China in various places. There has also been a lot of commentary elsewhere in the last few days asking all sorts of reasonable questions about lending, the veracity of the the growth statistics and more general questions about whether steps take in terms of stimulus will foster more "bubbles."

In a recent commentary going around from Andy Xie, you can get some of his points here, he sees a sort of ebb and flow leading to a "collapse like the 1990s Asian crisis. But Xie sees this as a risk for 2012."
