In looking at fundamentals, the stock has lost >17% of value in a small amount of time.  I beleive the overall financial markets are bringing this down even though optionsxpress clients have been faring well by utilizing hedging strategies.  The numbers are still going up when it comes to account growth and darts. While it may not be meeting expectations, I believe the P/E of <19 is discounting their potential growth.  They are heavily investing in futures and opening up the trading arena of futures for beginners as well as professionals.  Their commission rate structure seems outdated comp...

Total volume is running 9x greater than normal in OptionsXpress (OXPS) with most of the activity focused on buying June $22.5 and June $25 calls. The unusual activity is being attributed to takeover chatter. OXPS is an online broker focused on the trading of equity, ETF, and index options. It has long been mentioned as a possible takeover play in the consolidating area of online brokerage. I bought OptionsXpress (OXPS) at $20.00. The company has been lauded by the industry and the press as a model for online investing including being named Best Online Broker by Barron's in four of the last five years. OXPS has a 1.6% dividend; $669m in cash vs. $0 debt; 18.78% 5-year growth rate; 39.5% profit margin; and a .66 PEG. Thomas Stern, a company officer, recently made open market purchases of 3,000 total shares. He purchased 1000 shares on Feb. 22 at $23.85, and 2000 shares on Mar. 13 at $20.42/share. Technicals show oversold and there is long term support in the $20 range.
