'Marvell does have the WiFi chip ($2–$3 of content) in the iPhone, as we thought. With about 10 million incremental iPhones and iPod Touches in 3Q versus 2Q, incremental revenue contribution is 2%–3% sequential growth, as we expected. We like shares of MRVL here, given that they have retraced to the $15 level, and since the firm is a margin turnaround story now as operating expense leverage kicks in over the next year.'

Everyone that loves to make money knows that growth in earnings and sales is very important for a stock's price. For those that are looking to put their money in a relatively cheap technology stock that is showing some huge recent growth in EPS and sales, look no further than Marvell Technology Group (MRVL).
MRVL is an Electronic Semiconductor Manufacturing stock that designs analog, digital, mixed-signal and microprocessor ICS for storage, telecom/data and consumer markets. On June 3rd the company introduced the 88NV8120 PCI Express-based NAND flash controller for use in both PCs and Mobi
4/16 - "Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ: MRVL) shares are trading higher after tech bellwether Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) reported a first quarter profit of $1.44 billion, or 25 cents per share, in line with analysts' estimates. While many investors were expecting weak results, INTC noted in a press release that microprocessor sales were in line with seasonal trends, which could be a good sign for MRVL."
"For a bullish hedged play on this stock, I would consider an August bull-put credit spread below the $7.50 range. A bull-put credit spread is an options position that combines the purchas...
3/12 - "...management's guidance for the opening quarter of the new fiscal year fell largely in line with our own FQ1 estimates that were in place prior to the FQ4 call. In a sense, this implies a deeper than normal effect of seasonality on FQ1 results, largely dictated by continued weakness faced by Marvell in the WLAN IC-s space. Still, the Y/Y growth trends at Marvell look impressive both on the revenue side and on the profitability side (consider to expected XScale-related gross margin improvements)."
"We currently forecast FY2009 revenues of $3.31B (+14.5% Y/Y, even in a soft macroeco...
3/7 - "MRVL just reported a Q4 profit, and a 36% increase in revenue, and predicted sales of $775 million to $785 million for its fiscal 2009 fiscal first quarter...The Analysts wanted sales of $763.9 million, so they beat the Street but some analysts said it was "still a substantial drop from its strong 2008 fourth-quarter sales of $844.7 million". Come on now, are we just going to throw every decent tech company to the curb?"
"...let the stock take a beating then by next week make your move. This company isn't a fluke and neither was this latest earnings call, good things are ahead for M...
3/24 - "...with its contractual obligations with Intel coming to an end, Marvell is finally in a better position to improve profitability. It also needs to come out of the options backdating scandal that slashed its shareholder value drastically and led to the resignation of its CFO George Hervey, as well as Weili Dai, the co-founder and wife of the CEO...The revolving door in the CFO’s office, however, is not at all a good sign, and it does not offer confidence that the issues are being addressed."
"In fiscal 2009, Marvell expects hard drive and wireless products to be the key drivers of ...
A friend asked me to review MRVL for him, so here it is. MRVL is a great company as Cramer has mentioned below, but for the current phase in the markets, i feel that MRVL will be weak with the rest of the tech sector. currently downtrending with the rest of the markets. I'd say if economic reports come out more positive, tech earnings is positive with good guidance, and investors gain more confidence, MRVL will be a good pick by the end of the week. however, if the markets fall further tomorrow morning... MRVL's downtrending line will turn into an even steeper one as it breaks through the l...
technical: short term double bottom bounce off of $16 with long term support traced back to $16 in early 2005. high volume selling in the 20s and high-teens over the last 6 months, making this a potential wash-out play.
market: SOX can go either way but indices seem poised to make new highs after minor pullbacks. Q4 rally looks to be promising and FOMC results erased the possibility of a pullback. however election period could increase volitility...
