What in the world can one make of the new ad for the Droid, the Motorola (MOT) smartphone with Google (GOOG) Android software on the Verizon Wireless (VZ) network, which apparently put out this ad?
Here’s what: It aggressively calls the Apple (AAPL) iPhone a dumb blonde and then a prissy dude in need of a beatdown.

SK Telecom Taking On iPhone – Analyst Blog

South Korea’s incumbent wireless operator SK Telecom (SKM) is boosting its handset portfolio to take on Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone, which was launched recently by its rival KT Corp (KTC) in the country.
SK Telecom has announced its plans to market Motorola’s (MOT) Droid smartphone. The company is expected to launch the novel device, dubbed the latest "iPhone-killer," as early as January 2010. SK Telecom is also negotiating with Research In Motion (RIMM) to market the new BlackBerry Storm 2 and BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphones in 2010.

Dell To Create Mobile Phone Unit

Dell (DELL) will reorganize its business groups to create a new division to develop mobile phones and other communications products, the company told the WSJ today. The new unit will be run by former Motorola (MOT) exec Ron Garriques, who now leads Dell’s consumer division.
Dell will roll the consumer division into its small-business computer group.
