This addition of LVLT is to correct the mistake I made earlier today in accidently removing it from my Pick List when I added it to my portfolio. The following is a repetition of my earlier post. "LVLT has a significant share of the Internet bandwidth. The CEO has successfully overcome a bout of brain cancer and is back in the saddle. I expect market share to increase significantly, especially as LVLT implements new products and increases its offerings to customers. Stock is at significant support at 3. I expect a rally to at least 7 with possible move to a multi-year high near 20.

Way back in early March I highlighted 10 horrifically downtrending stocks and said not to even think about buying them until they broke their nasty trendlines to the upside.
Over the past few weeks, many have displayed solid sideways price action, but it wasn't until yesterday that the high volume breakouts occurred. I'm talking about those 50+ million shares traded, 10%+ price surges beautifully accomplished by such popular ...
3/12 - "We believe the mgmt shake-up highlights continued operating challenges at LVLT...As with 2007, 2008 guidance implies both a revs acceleration and large EBITDA ramp in the back-half of the year. With a high likelihood that both revs and EBITDA fall in Q1:08, from Q4:07, we see little near-term catalysts for the stock. Additionally, should the economy weaken further, H2:08 assumptions by the company may prove to be aggressive...Although LVLT had $725MM in cash as of YE07, the company is not expected to generate positive FCF until 2009 (pushed back from a prior expectation of 2008). Wi...
"Over the past few quarters, LVLT has done little to reassure investors that its acquisition strategy is working. In fact, our industry checks indicate that the company will make substantial cuts, including in LVLT’s growth segments. In our view, the company has struggled to integrate its recent string of acquisitions and now growth and synergy milestones remain questionable...We did not perceive the tone on the 4Q07 conference call as encouraging and believe that there is potential for more downside to numbers. The company cited difficulty in provisioning orders and indicated that revenue ...
We are upgrading LVLT to an Accumulate rating since we think that the recent management changes will finally put the company on the right path to improving sales, provisioning and cash flow. LVLT announced major management changes this morning with President and COO Kevin O’Hare stepping down immediately. Sunit Patel has been reinstated as CFO and Neil Hobbs—who had been elevated in charge of sales and provisioning over the last six months--will assume some of Kevin’s responsibilities and become Executive VP of Operations. We see these changes as very constructive for Level(3) since we have...
Many hosting companies buy and use Level 3's bandwidth, it's one of the best quality bandwidth available. The company is losing money and have enormouse debt, but the money is spent on building their scale. If the company stop building new networks, they are probably profitable as of now.
LVLT has seen a year low of 2.53 and has been rising ever since, i think we've seen all the bad news so far. Its been going up ever since with great signs of a rebound to the high 3's to low 4's within the next couple of months. Talks of demand for LVLTs fiber network has been in the news for months now. Their problem is their incapability of supplying that demand, which will be a problem that needs to solved right after the new CFO comes in. From my personal experience, we will be seeing another dip which will most probably happen after the 4th quarter results are posted. This should be re...

As long as there is a rumor floating around that CEO Jim Crowe won't die this stock will. The great fear I have in shorting LVLT is for the company to release a press release stating that Jim Crowe has died of cancer.
It's all about management. It is the corrupt management team at LVLT that keeps this stock down and out. The investor bankers don't trust Jim Crowe. The potential canidits for a take over buyout don't trust Jim Crowe. His life is the death of LVLT.
The last time LVLT rallied strong was when it was announce Jim Crowe had cancer. The shareholders had hope. But since t
LVLT is stable but has wild swings that can make you ALOT of money with the right timing.I expect the price to start to advance higher and higher once bandwidth auction takes effect.LVLT is a highly undervalued at the current $4.94 price. This bargain basement entry price is money in the bank.Should they ever start to turn a profit.......
LVLT basically spent the last few years when debt was cheap borrowing money to lay broadband cables all over the place in order to take advantage of the growth in digital media. With the onset of streaming media and digital video about to take control, they are a leveraged play on something that is inevitable - the emergence of the computer as the home entertainment center and the internet as its gateway.
Due to its leverage and lack of earnings many people have been hesitant to own such a stock. As they turn profitable (as I believe they will in the upcoming quarters) much of t...
Level 3 is the last of the great shorting opportunities. A company with no vision on how to make a profit, run by people that have never made a profit for anyone in their lives.
James Crowe help bankrupt Morrison Knudsen, hooked up with Kiewit. Started a small communication company that lost money for it's share holders and the big share holder that bought them out - World Comm. To what degree the Jim Crowe sale to World Comm help bankrupt World Comm is unknown. But many people have deluded themselves into thinking Jim Crowe made money. Selling a POS to a clown for more money than the
If you substract the purchased revenue from the total revenue revenues are flat. The shell game is coming to an end. Level 3's ability to buy revenue are behind it. The stock is drpping for sound fundemental reasons. I expect to see it drop until the market cap hits 3 billion.
