Nickel is used to produce stainless steel among other uses.Nickel reached its peak in 2006 amidst a global shortage.

   Nickel is a very important industrial metal .  Aside from coinage, it is also a chief ingredient in the making of stainless steel and various steel alloys.  The spot price of nickel has nearly tripled in the last five years., despite a twofold increase in the warehouse stock levels .  JJN is a nickel ETN.  It will give you a more focused exposure to the metal than buying BHP, RIO, or CVRD.  It is less than a year old, doesn't have a whole lot of assets and trades at a very low volume(about 11,000 units/day).
