GLOBAL STOCK MARKETS ARE PLUMMETING and commodities no longer offer a place for investors to hide -- except for gold, it seems.

Despite a Friday selloff for the metal, gold futures still rose 3% last week, while the S&P 500 tumbled 18% and oil slid 17%. Gold remains 14% off its March highs.

In January, Van Eck portfolio manager Joe Foster looked like a sage in touting the benefits of gold and gold-oriented funds like his International Investors Gold Fund (ticker: INIVX) to Barron's.Alexander Eule  

The stock is in the Gold & Silver industry (Sector: Basic materials) with a Good stock grade that is rated to outperform the market in the next six months with a Risk Level of 3 (Average).

Growth rates (ttm) are good: Revenues: 81.45%; EPS: 4.12%; and Price: 98.17%. PE is somewhat high: 79.23, but acceptable. The stock could be an excellent hedge in an unsteady market.
