It is getting a little late but I really wanted to get around to posting one of my favorite stocks that finally made it to the blog. Fastenal (FAST) closed at $38.27, up $3.32 or 9.5% on the day, enough to make the list of top % gainers on the NASDAQ today. I do not own any Fastenal shares directly, but my stock club does have a position in this stock.

Salesforce.com Jumps; Added To S&P 500

Salesforce.com (CRM) shares have jumped this morning on news that the stock will be added to the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index effective at the close of trading on Friday. The stock will replace Freddie Mac (FRE). Also being added to the index: Fastenal (FAST), which sells industrial and construction supplies. Fastenal replaces Fannie Mae (FNM).

CRM today is up $2.96, or 5.7%, to $55.06.
