"Taiwan and Mainland China are a step closer to a more harmonious relationship," says Yiannis Mostrous. In The Silk Road Investor, the Asian stock specialist looks at an ETF that will benefit from this trend.

"Nearly a year ago, I forecast that 'Taiwan could be the biggest out-of-consensus investment story--along with Japan--as the first decade of the 21st century comes to a close.'

As of today, 11/2/2007, Taiwan is a beaten market because people worry about the politics and the instability of the goverment. These factors worry Taiwan people. Living in an island country, Taiwanese are senstitive to external threat and feel insecure. They are usually nervous. I think Taiwan will grow along the global boom and will benefit from China, as the politics stabilize, Taiwan market will gain confidence and go up. ETA first half of 2008
