DNDN...Dendreon.  If you haven't heard or read something about this stock recently, yo are reading the wrong pages, I guess.

This shotup to mid 20's from 5 or 6 dollars after it was approved by the FDA advisory panel somewhat unanimously.  this was about a year ago and again it shows my lack of knowledge, or OK greed at the time, not to get out with a nice little profit.

any other newbies, don't make this mistake.  I read the story in the wee hours of the night like now and put in a market order (I know some of you are screaming already) as I left for a doctors appointment

You know from our previous posting that we have sold our position in DENDREON (DNDN - USD 7.70). We nevertheless want to keep an exposure in the stock. Dendreon has become a relative stable stock these days. That was different in the first half of the year with some erratic price action. The reason for the relative stable behaviour is that there is nothing spectacular to be expected from the biotech company in the near future. Only by the summer of next year the FDA will come up with its r

highly speculative..  I believe that the company's prostate cancer drug that FDA is currently reviewing for more data will ultimately get approved.  Ans the stock will be a huge winner.  But do realize that the downside will be substantial if the drug fails to get approved.

More like a lottery ticket but upside reward is substantial.

JMP Securities analyst Charles Duncan downgraded the Seattle-based company to "Market Outperform" from "Strong Buy." He raised his price target to $24 from $20, but said the stock will probably not rise much more until the drug's status is clearer.

"We continue to believe there to be roughly a 50 percent probability of Provenge being granted an approval by the FDA by the Prescription Drug User Fee Act date, as well as a 50 percent probability of the company receiving an approvable letter with additional clinical data required for final approval," he said. The PDUFA date is May 15.
