Farm commodities good in any market

Farm commodities are trading at big discounts to gold, and this has been a regular theme since the 1980s. So long term, farm commodities should do quite well vs. just about everything that doesn't pay a large dividend. Short term, farm commodities have halved while oil has doubled, and gold has held steady. If the stock market continues to rally, expect farm futures to do the best. If the stock market tanks, expect farm commodities to lose less than the markets.

The majority of central banks fear inflation. It's not contained, while Bank of England and the Fed reduce rates, and other currencies continue to find it challenging to keep prices down, while maintaining a meaningful level of economic growth. This challenging environment to stifle prices, and bolster growth bodes well for commodities.
