I tend to select stocks with strong fundamentals, DAR Darling International Inc.- Consumer Staple- I ndustry-Food Products appears to be considered.
They provide something very simple and necessary though. They turn animal and food wast products  - unused skin, fat, bones and brains that they get from slaughterhouses and restaurants - into useful commercial goods they can sell, such as tallow, protein meals, grease, glue and (man up and listen to this part) fuel. It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it. ...

Darling International collects, recyles and recovers animal by-products and used cooking oil from food service establishments. They have 39 facilities across that US that processes and sells these products as oleo-chemicals, biofuels, soap and other products. In the past this company has been very cyclical, but I'm positive on the future prospects as this is an area we should be seeing more of. The company seems undervalued considering its current valuation and growth prospects. Insiders also seem to be bullish on the firm. This is a speculative buy, but one I believe will pay off.

For all your grease-related needs...

Rendering, rendering, renDARing.  what a nice couple of days for yellow fat and greasetraps.  Nice recent acquisition of #3 in the game put DAR well into the #1 spot.  Willie nelson probably bought into DAR at $3.00 knowing that they're sitting on an environmentaly friendly gold mine with all of that cooking grease.  Let's hear it for biofuel -- and then launch this puppy into the teens.
