I feel sorry to those who bought the CXTI shares around $8 a few month ago, and I am even sorrier if you sold your stock around $3 these days. and here is why.

On July 27, 2007, China Expert Technology : CXTI.OB Chairman and Acting CFO Huang Tao promised investors in a conference call that: (1) there would be no financial discrepancies when the company reported Q2 results; and (2) that results should be announced by August 15, 2007. At the time, I believed that the company’s conference call would help calm investor fears over the departure of CFO Simon Fu. Boy was I wrong.

Shares of China Expert Technology : CXTI.OB are getting slammed today on news that CFO Simon Fu has resigned suddenly “for personal reasons and to pursue other interests.” As recently as a month ago, Fu was the public face of CXTI for U.S. investors . Yet, with no successor named and no legitimate reason given for the move, the company asks investors to believe that Fu decided he just had to do something new and different right before a quarterly earnings report. Anyone know the Mandarin word for “bullshit”?
