Leerink Swann is out defending Elan (ELN) saying they are making no changes to their valuation of ELN shares and view any weakness today as a buying opportunity.

The harsh sell off in the stock that could occur today will likely be fueled by overblown expectations for the Phase II data and the difficulty in presenting a cogent analysis of a complex trial in a complex disease in a 12-minute presentation.

Nothing has fundamentally changed for this company! AAB-001 PII has given the company the right path to go forward. Early filing? May be for non-ApoE-4 carriers.

Ty is still on the market and the risk of PML is clearly defined in the label as 1:1000. In realty, the current probability of contracting PML is much lower than that. (given current cases vs # of patient on therapy) Second, the two mention has been treated both stable. (They are not dead!)
Third, what other alternatives do MSers have when they fail/ can't tolerant other meds. Finally, the efficiency of this drug is far superior than current competition on the market.
