No company this large can come close to matching Visa's balance sheet.  There is virtually no debt in this company, a huge cash pool which will be plowed into an insurance business and they execut the vast majority of credit card transactions throughout the world.  Given that mastercard has gone up 10 fold since its IPO, it stands to reason V should go up more.

Mastercard came public at a lower valuation because it had no peers publically trading at the time. Whereas, since MA was publically trading when V went public, V immediately got the benefit of a much higher valuation due to comparison with MA. So no, just because MA went up 10-fold doesn't mean V will also-- that is not a logical argument.
