Tis is a reprint of an old post. Still holds water I temporarly closed it when a bunch of nonsence about defensive stocks hit the air waves....
If your addicted to Coke you are probably blowing over $1,000 per year on your health destroying habit. There was once a time when there was no help for the Coke addict. It was the common drink of choice thrown in the peoples face at an early age. But these days are different. At the critical age to where us older people became addicted to Coke parents are steering their childern to water and juice. Currently drug free items are out selling the drug Coke big time. And the key here is. They are not a drug. In the past it did not matter whether you were on a tight budget or not. The need for the drug had to be fed. But when you are free of the drug, do you still blow $1,000 on sugar water if money is tight. Old farts with an old mind like Warren Buffett bought into Coke on the theory you can't go wrong dealing drugs to childern. Coke was consider a safe stock for risky times. That was then, this is now. No free thinking person will piss away their money on sugar water when times are tight. And with the drug eliment removed from the equation on most of Coca Cola's sales. The choice to eat over consuming sugar is not a difficult one. Because Coke has been consider a safe stable stock for "these type of tme" it has become a grossly over price stock. But watch and see as earnings falls. One day the surprise institutions will wake up and bash this into a 20% drop over night.
