Universal Detection Technology (UDTT.OB) Announces China Has Placed its First Purchase Order for Bioterrorism Products

Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB: UDTT) announced it received a purchase order from its Chinese distributor for bioterrorism detection kits. UDTT develops early warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and infectious health threats. The purchase order from Kadinuo Science and Technology in Beijing is UDTT’s first order of detection kits from China.

“We are very pleased to have received our first purchase order for these products from China,” Jacques Tizabi, CEO of UDTT said in a statement. “This is obviously a very large market, and like any other, has security concerns relating to threat of biological weapons and toxins; we are glad to be providing our solutions in countering these threats.”

Escalated security and terrorism threats in China, including two recently foiled plots, have caused concern as to whether or not the Olympic Games in Beijing will, in fact, take place in China. Reacting accordingly, the Chinese government has called for heightened efforts to ward off bioterrorism.

Universal Detection Technology has formed relationships with organizations such as the Chinese State Environmental Protection Administration, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Administration of Quality Supervision, the Inspection and Quarantine of China, and the Public Security Bureau. The Company develops monitoring technologies, including bioterrorism detection devices, and is in cahoots with NASA to create a bio-terror “smoke” detector. Along with its other development partners, the company has positioned itself to capitalize on solutions related to Homeland Security.
