GU just opened a new plant adding 50,000 tons to the company's annual biodiesel production capacity for a total of 240,000 tons (that's up 26%). Gu then plans to increase their annual production capacity to 400,000 tons by the end of 2008 with the expansion or addition of new production facilities in Beijing,Shanghai, Hunan and Chongqing. The end of '07 capacity was 190,000 tons, the estimated capacity for end of '08 is 400,000 tons (that's 111% growth in capacity!)
Hopefully, GU will have unbelievable demand and will be able to continue to operate at full capacity at year end of '08.
