The major theme would be a massive underestimation of loan portfolio quality especially in the super-regional banks. Ones most likely to surprise would be those in areas with housing problems, and those suffering from quality job migration. It will take banks several quarters to actually realize the magnitude, or if they know it now, to unfold it to the street. Risks: Fed actions, foreign investment.
