In the past hour, CNBC has made a host of factual errors. Even Dylan Ratigan, who is among the best at that network, said:
- that tech is leading to the upside today. WRONG. As we speak, the Nasdaq-100 is negative, while the Russell 2000 and S&P 500 are positive.
- that the currency trade of the day is long Japanese Yen against the dollar. WRONG. The USD is currently up about 39 pips vs. the Yen.
I don’t expect great insights from these people, but they really should be accountable for basic facts.
