First Regional Bancorp has reported a net loss of $1.58 million, or $0.13 per diluted share, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared to a net income of $1.18 million, or $0.09 per diluted share, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2008. Net interest income for the third quarter of 2009 decreased to $14.47 million from $23.74 million for the third quarter of 2008. For the first nine months ended September 30, 2009, net loss of the company was $115.6 million, or $9.77 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $12.6 million, or $1.07 per diluted share, for the first nine months ended September 30, 2008.
