TriQuint Semiconductor (TQNT) shares rallied in the after-hours session, after the company posted better-than-expected Q1 results as well as Q2 guidance that topped expectations.
For Q1, the communications chip supplier posted revenue of $118.9 million and a loss of 7 cents a share, beating the Street consensus of $114 million and a loss of 9 cents.
For Q2, TriQuint sees revenues increased to a range of $140 million to $150 million, with a profit of 2-4 cents a share. The Street had been expecting $137.8 million and a profit of a penny a share.
In late trading, TQNT rose 21 cents, or 5.9%, to $3.80.
