As investors search for defensive stock investments and high dividend yields during the current bear market turmoil, they need look no further than telecom services companies. In contrast to many of the existing telecom ETFs (the four listed below are all down by about 40% on average in the last year) which have large positions in Verizon (VZ) and AT&T (T), the ETF Innovators [ETFI] Global Telco Dividend Income Index is structured as an equally-weighted, all-world index among the top 35 rated companies, which are rebalanced each quarter. The accompanying table includes statistics for the index, along with the Top 10 rated companies.
1.) Telecom HOLDRs (TTH) has over 80% invested in T + VZ with $143M in net assets
2.) iShares Dow Jones U.S. Telecom (IYZ) has over 37% invested in T + VZ with $377M in net assets
3.) Vanguard Telecom Services (VOX) has over 39% invested in T + VZ with $94M in net assets
4.) iShares S&P Global Telecom (IXP) has over 23% invested in T + VZ with $181M in net assets, in addition to about 20% invested in Vodafone (VOD) + Telefonica (TEF)
A total of 71 companies are eligible for the ETFI Global Telco Services Dividend Income Index, which includes companies with market caps over $1B (USD) and dividend yields of at least 2.4% that derive the majority of their revenues from telecom services. As shown in the accompanying table, the performance of the top 35 rated companies included a total return over the past year of -4.7%, compared to losses of 36%-52% for the five telecom benchmark funds already on the market, with the Emerging Markets Telecom Fund (ETF) getting hit the hardest with a loss of 52% in the past year.
The most important investment decision is putting money into something with the expectation of profit. More specifically, investment is the commitment of money or capital to the purchase of financial or other assets so as to gain profitable returns in the form of interest, income (dividends), or appreciation (capital gains) of the value of the instrument.
In the case of investment, rather than store the good produced or its money equivalent, the investor chooses to use that good either to create a durable consumer or producer good, or to lend the original saved good to another in exchange for either interest or a share of the profits. In the first case, the individual creates durable consumer goods, hoping the services from the good will make his life better. In the second, the individual becomes an entrepreneur using the resource to produce goods and services for others in the hope of a profitable sale. The third case describes a lender, and the fourth describes an investor in a share of the business. In each case, the consumer obtains a durable asset or investment, and accounts for that asset by recording an equivalent liability. As time passes, and both prices and interest rates change, the value of the asset and liability also change.
Forex & business firms or organisations raise funds from investors in the form of equites, debts(collectively known as the capital structure)and further reinvest it into various investment schemes by carefully analysing the returns in order to meet out their obligations relating to purchase of assets which provides them long term benefits.

As mentioned Windows 7 above, flash blocks and cells need to be erased before new bytes can be written to them. As a result, newly purchased devices Microsoft Windows 7 with all flash blocks pre-erased can perform notably better at purchase time than Win 7 after considerable use. While we've observed this performance degradation Download Windows 7 ourselves, we do not consider Buy Windows 7 this to be a show stopper. In fact, except Win7 via benchmarking measurements, we don't expect users to notice the drop during normal use.
