FuelCell Energy, Inc. (FuelCell Energy) is engaged in the development and manufacturing of fuel cell power plants for electric power generation. The products are designed to meet the 24/7 baseload power needs of commercial, industrial, government and utility customers. The products have generated over 200 million-kilowatt-hour of electricity and are operating at over 40 locations around the world. The fuel cell products Direct FuelCell (DFC) power plants offer stationary power generation applications for customers. In addition to the commercial products, the Company develops next generation of carbonate fuel cell, hybrid products and planar solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology. The carbonate DFC power plants electrochemically (without combustion) produce electricity directly from hydrocarbon fuels, such as natural gas and biogas fuels. The Company’s customers include manufacturers, mission critical institutions, breweries, food processors and wastewater treatment facilities.
