I do not like to have many positions in my portfolio, so I treat GE as a mutual fund with their diverse holdings.  I am attracted to their investment in alternative energy.  Also, I think GE is a good domestic blue chip stock to hold because of their global presence if the market turns bearish.  

I'm also attracted to the fact that they are near a three month low.
