Might be a bad investment

To the best of my knowledge, Life Sciences Research (also known as Huntingdon Life Sciences) is the only company with a global campaign to close it down. If that campaign is successful, you may lose your shirt!

Names: Partly because LSR existed as a smaller entity before acquiring HLS in 2001. Partly so people don't realise they are the same organization.

Stem cell: No, they are a contract animal testing laboratory. They test all kinds of substances on animals from pharmaceuticals to fruit juice.

For an idea about the campaign, check out http://www.shac.net/.
