My strategy is about hitting singles. I would describe my style focus as 'swing trading aggressive growth stocks.' My holding period is generally short-term.
Being nimble (trading small blocks of shares) is a huge advantage relative to institutions (funds with hundreds of millions or billions to push around). These funds need volume and time to execute their strategies. .

Find specific set-ups that produce a high percentage of winners. This usually means taking gains when you get them and not holding on seeking a large return on a trade. You can make money in choppy markets this way while others won't. This is how professional traders do it, they find a few high-percentage trading set-ups that work at producing small % gains --- and then they increase position size to leverage that (small but consistent) return. -- Get in, get your profit and get out. You will avoid drawdowns and run up significant cumulative gains. This is a strategy a larger fund just cannot execute.
